After riding bikes for so many years, and specifically riding a bike for 2,800 miles this summer, I feel compelled to share what I know with people that want to know. In the last year, I've come to know a ton of great women in Philadelphia who also cycle and/or want to cycle more. Summer storms threatened to cancel the trip, but on the morning of roll-out, the overcast sky didn’t look menacing enough to turn us back home. We met up at WN/WN, a local breakfast coffee spot. Hair was braided (because, priorities), coffee was slurped, gear and bags were given a final cinch… and we were off.Read More
I’ve had a lot of good bike karma in the past - bikes given to me from friends and friends of friends, I’ve been taught riding skills for free from experts, and I’ve learned how to build and repair bikes through my own sheer stubbornness, help from friends and great places like Neighborhood Bike Works.
